Alexandra's work explores the relationship between the physical body and the sacred. She is interested in affinities between body and cosmos, micro and macro. Using experiential movement and mediation practices, intuitive collage, traditional and digital techniques, she investigates the potential of the body as a vehicle for connection. Her current project draws upon historic and contemporary uses of ritual and magical/spiritual practices for protection and healing, in a personal consideration of the challenges of embodiment through illness.
