Watercolour illustrations for a proposed picture book adaptation of Aesop’s fables. The project consists of a front cover, end pages, and an inside spread containing my larger illustrations and chapter headers. Working with watercolour, pen and ink, I aimed to capture the human emotion and morality of the animal characters pictured in the original tales, with a focus on wildlife and nature.
Biography
I’m 18, an Edinburgh local, and came to the foundation course to further sharpen my artistic skills in the interim before I attend university next year. Leith School of Art has provided me the opportunity to experiment and explore ideas within visual communication, in preparation for my future studies in Communication Design at Glasgow School of Art. I hope to go on to work in graphic design and illustration.
