About the Exhibition:
We are delighted to present an exhibition of drawings and paintings from the Leith School of Art Untutored Life Drawing artists.
The Untutored Life Drawing class runs every Saturday during term time and is aimed at artists with more experience who wish to work on sustained drawings and paintings, or anyone wishing to develop their life drawing skills outside a tutored course.
Artists who attend have a variety of long and short poses to work from each week; sustained poses between one and three consecutive sessions, and a range of quick poses from 3 to 40 minutes long. Artists provide their own materials and respond to the model and set up in their own way, leading to a hugely diverse body of work being produced every session.
The exhibition, made up of works in progress and more resolved pieces, is a celebration of the figure and showcases a range of work created using a variety of approaches and individual responses to the human form.
Exhibition curated by Marcin Krupa.
