In days gone by when I was young
A trip to the beach was so much fun
Where pools were found along the shore
With starfish, crabs and shells galore
And now no crabs, and starfish to be found
But just dead birds lay on the ground
A single seagull stares in space
As all around no others are in trace
Litter, plastic everywhere
Do you think this is fair?
Is there really any need
To destroy our land for wealth and greed.
Having spent time sailing and snorkelling, I have appreciated our environment over the years. Being by the sea is a “feel good“ factor for me, so I aim to try and recreate what I have experienced over time, and the concerns I have over our fragile planet today.
