Angie is inspired by landscapes rich in natural life. She likes to walk, observing the lie of the land and the changing light at different times of day. The character of individual trees and woodland hold a particular fascination. Sketches made on these walks are a starting point for paintings. Experimentation plays an important part in the process as does the strong emotional response colour evokes in her. She hopes that her paintings convey some of what she saw and felt as she sat sketching.
