I have created my space with the aim to release those who have grown out of their childhood from the weight of responsibility. With this inspiration, I want to evoke a sense of playfulness. Allowing the viewer to reminisce over their early years. The soft forms and warm colours act as visual keys to express the safety and innocence of childhood, but also the curiosity that comes with.
Biography
I’m Maya, going into product design at Glasgow School of Art. Growing up in Edinburgh as a chinese person has always put me slightly out the box. Yet, even when I lived in Hong Kong, I was “too western”. My dual identity has provided cultural insight that i would like to take advantage of in the field of design.
