Using William Scott’s kitchen table paintings as inspiration, students will work on an acrylic painting from a recreated kitchen scene.
The workshop will begin looking at the work of William Scott, learning about the artist’s use of colour, composition and flattened space. We spend the day painting from observation, thinking about solidity, shape, gesture and atmosphere. Students will work on a study and a more sustained painting, increasing their confidence and deepening their understanding of acrylics.
