Transform an existing book into a new work of art.
Students on this workshop will be introduced to different approaches to altering the pages of their chosen book, taking inspiration from artworks such as Tom Philips’ ‘The Humument’ and the work of Hans Waanders.
Using a range of media from inks and stamps to a needle and thread, we’ll explore ways of reimagining and recycling an existing text. New narratives will be formed either sculpturally or through visual and poetic interventions, deepening our understanding of the discipline of the Artist’s Book.
