This workshop introduces the sketchbook as a vital tool for students to explore their own personal, artistic voice in response to the world around them.
Using a dynamic and interesting studio setup, students will be shown different methods of observing and recording information in order to get the most out of their environment.
Students will learn how to use a wide range of mixed media to prepare their sketchbook, how to visually note-take thoughts and ideas in new and creative ways, and how to build on these preliminary ideas for later development out of the sketchbook. Students will leave with a body of work specific to their own interests.
