Work from an individual still life set-up to create a large, resolved painting.
Beginning by creating a collaged base to work on, you will then be introduced to examples of relevant artists’ work. Each student will work with an object chosen by themselves and integrate this into the space using drapes and other props. You will learn how to create a relationship between the objects themselves, the space around them and the source of light in the image. Using water-based mixed media, we’ll go straight to work on the large painting, learning how to make changes during the creative process with aesthetic sensitivity.
