Create surprising new images using found imagery in this Collage workshop.
Beginning with a visual connections game, students will choose from a selection books and magazines to work with for the day. There will be practical demonstrations by the tutor on cutting collage pieces, stencil painting, ‘the art of gluing’ and how to incorporate text into your work.
We’ll draw inspiration from artists such as William Burroughs, Brion Gysin, Joe Orton and Henri Matisse. Spending the day in an industrious, busy and exciting studio environment, you will be encouraged by the tutor to stretch and surprise yourself when composing collage works.
