Simone joined the School in 2018, and teaches on the Jewellery evening class as part of the Short Courses programme.
Simone began her design education in 1990 through a traditional craft apprenticeship in gold- and silversmithing in Cologne/Germany. In 2002 she graduated from the School of Applied Science in Düsseldorf in Product and Jewellery Design. In 2003 she obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and has worked as a teacher in various educational environments since alongside her practice as a jewellery artist.
Simone's jewellery is inspired by the traditional techniques of a goldsmith working in precious metal combined with elements from our urban and rural landscapes. Simone’s work has been exhibited widely nationally and internationally. She has been selected several times to exhibit in the Elements Festival of the Incorporation of Goldsmiths and Lyon and Turnbull, Edinburgh and Munich Jewellery Week.
