From her farming roots in Caithness, and via Aberdeen and London to gain qualifications as a pharmacist, Fiona has lived in Edinburgh for over 40 years. Bringing up her family gave her insight into the varied activities and directions of young people. Serving for 20 years on the Children's Panel in Edinburgh, she also learned that supporting and encouraging young people can enable them to find a niche in the world and a gainful occupation. She knows that LSA also supports this ethos and she is keen to foster this as director. She has first hand experience of the creative life, her daughter being a creative designer and artist, and so recognises the challenges that this brings in current times. Fiona enjoys gardening, cooking and choir singing and can still help out at lambing time!
